A Betoota Heights man has caused a little bit of a stir in his household today, after accidentally showing all of his cards.
Brenton Kovacic did so a short time ago when he revealed his true motivations for organising a date night.
The comfortably loved up bloke in a long term relationship had impressed his girlfriend Belinda by suggesting a cute little dinner date, followed by a night at the movies.
Clocking in a reservation at his favourite Chinese restaurant, Brenton then booked a couple of tickets to a comedy called No Hard Feelings.
Brenton told his girlfriend the coming of age film was the perfect antidote to their winter blues…. and also stars Jennifer Lawrence.
The off the cuff comment reportedly sparked Bel’s memory of her bf’s love for the Oscar winning actress.
“Ohhhhhhhh, so that’s why we are going to see this one,” laughed Bel, who was quietly surprised that he hadn’t picked some explosion-filled action shit.
“Because you wanna see Katniss on the big screen again.”
A giggling Brenton then tried to deny the allegations, claiming it looks like a funny feel good movie with a strong female lead.
“I thought it would be right up your alley,” said the man who has made the mistake of discussing celebrity hall passes with his girlfriend.
After a bit more ribbing from his better half, Belinda agreed that she actually does think JLAW is an underrated actor and she was happy to pop Maltesers to her new movie.
