The Albanese government has lifted a ban on American imports of the one thing that we don’t need any more of, in what is being described as a diplomatic ploy to circumnavigate Trump’s tariffs on Australia.

The Minister for Agriculture, Julie Collins, has confirmed that Australian will once again open the doors to US beef, after drastically limiting imports since 2019.

This announcement has been met with outrage from Australian cattle producers, who are already juggling an exploitative and cruel domestic market dominated by the villainous Coles and Woolworths duopoly.

Australian shoppers have also made it clear that they aren’t really interested in buying American beef, because it’s disgusting and full of germs and hormones.

Biosecurity experts have long argued against expanding US beef imports, because it is often hard to determine where the cattle is sourced from before being slaughtered in America.

However, when dealing with the stubborness of Donald Trump, it seems Albanese and his ministers have had to make strategic concessions to ensure that our own produce can be exported the other way – without a 20% tariff, or 200% tariiff – depending on what mood the US President is in,

The Federal Government has been forced make the call between allowing American beef onto Aussie shelves, or bowing to the Tech giants that have Donald Trump’s ear – and are telling him to force Australian to repeal the under 16s social media ban and the fact-checking of online misinformation.

Instead, Albanese is now opting to install preventative biosecurity measures on Australian soil.

All retailers of US beef will now be forced to include highly emotive warning stickers, that educate Australian shoppers on the very high possibility of these products causing illness and disease.

Words like ‘GROSS’ and ‘YUCKY’ must be visible on each packaged product, as well as the ‘puke emoji’ – in an effort to highlight the drastic differences between Australia’s agricultural checks and balances – and America’s lack thereof.

It is hoped that by heavily stigmatising American beef, Australia can avoid a Presidential dummy spit that could easily result in US travel bans for Australian passport holders.
