The MAGA movement has received some much needed back-up after the first group of white South Africans granted refugee status by Donald Trump’s administration have arrived in the US.
The White South African’s who Trump, a president proud of his anti-immigration stance, has very curiously singled out as victims of genocide – despite them being only 8% of the population but holding 65% of top manager positions in the private sector, owning 72% of the nation’s private farmland and an annual income 4-5 times their Black counterparts.
Some critics are pointing to tech oligarchs and White South Africans Elon Musk and Peter Thiel as the ones to highlight the plight of the disenfranchised South African white man to Trump.
Despite most White South Africans embracing a democratic, post-apartheid South Africa – and the well known realities that White South Africans are disproportionately less likely to be victims of violent crime – Trump’s team insist that the White South Africans are the real victims in the world right now and need a fast tracked safe sanctuary.
When asked if it’s because they’re White, Trump’s team quickly dismissed the claim.
“Oh of course not, we just know that we could get some much needed moral support from a few disgruntled white guys that yearn for the days when they were more in charge” said one spokesperson for the President.
The same day the group landed in the United States, the Trump administration revoked legal safeguards that had shielded Afghans from deportation, claiming that conditions in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan were totally chill now.
