As the manufactured scandals of the 2022 NRL Grand Final post-match celebrations die down, the Murdoch goons at Fox Sports have officially expended their usefulness for another year.

In fact, bar a few boxing fight nights, there is very little chance TV audiences will see the crimson red wine lips of Buzz Rothfield or that Crawley bloke for the next 6 months.

However, the most irrelevant man in Australian sports media right now is NRL 360’s chief ambulance chaser Paul Kent, who will now descend back into his cave in the North Shore’s Gladesville reserve to begin hibernation.

As a FORMER PLAYER HIMSELF, who sat on the bench for Parramatta for one match in 1989 and is unable to hide his bitter biases after watching his old club get pumped into a 37 year premiership drought, Kenty has been tuckered out by all of these bad manners from the winners.

With half the NRL out of sight in Europe and Indonesia, and the rest at home with their kids, Kenty has very little to work with right now that Cameron Munster confirmed that he will be remaining at the Melbourne Storm.

As is the case every year, after the fireworks of the NRL Grand Final die down – Paul Kent will now fall into a deep sleep, and recharge for another year of openly criticising the cultural traits of immigrant communities and Aboriginal people.

The public can expect to not hear from Kenty until April, when he will begin to stir from his slumber after being awoken by the text messages being leaked to him from the NSW police about a fringe first grader punching the fuck out of someone in an Avoca pub.

Short of an extremely red hot drug trafficking scandal, the hibernation is expected to remain uninterrupted until we begin hearing him complain about the bad manners coming from the winners of the Indigenous All Stars Match.

NO MORE TO COME.
