Embattled Celebrity Chef and wage thief George Calombaris has today revealed his bold new plans to get back on his feet.
The former Masterchef host whose MAdE Establishment company had underpaid 515 restaurant staff by $7.8 million in wages and superannuation, explained he’s got an exciting new venture on his hands.
Realising he didn’t need to make himself cry for this interview like he did with Leigh Sales last night, Calombaris said he and Crown Casino are teaming up for something very exciting.
“It’s going to be an Australian Chinese fusion restaurant in the middle of the floor,” said Calomabris.
“It’s the perfect fit, Crown loves putting up dodgy characters and blatantly ignoring regulations, so I’m really excited about what we can serve up.”
“And, given their relationship with the Department of Home Affairs, they should be able to organise a kitchen full of international workers on dodgy visas who I can underpay and send them packing when they demand to be paid.”
