Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and her closely linked business groups are today defending the proposed Adani coal mine despite damning allegations aired on the ABC’s Four Corners program on Monday – which revealed alleged cases of bribery, corruption and environmentally destructive behaviour by the Adani Group in India.

Palaszczuk has insisted that both scientists and journalists ‘come to the party’ on the Carmichael Coal Mine, just like certain factions of the nameless Queensland Government have.

The Premier says the so-called scientists who are scrounging for funding to find ways to fix this and prevent anymore damage, need to understand that by doing anymore research papers, they are risking her chance of getting re-electing by promising 1000 out-of-state FIFO workers a couple year of work in some shithole town.

“Just ease up” she said.

“This will be quick. You won’t feel a thing, and there’ll be heaps of jobs. I think anyway”

“Either way, we’ve found a good reason to turn the unions against the greens, and my leftie deputy Premier Jackie who is coming hot for my job”

Furthermore the Premier says the increased protesting and drama around the proposed coal mine, which thousands of scientists have warn with completely ruin the Great Barrier Reef forever with it’s neighbouring carbon emissions and spill-off, has made the Indian mining magnate a bit nervous.

“These whinging, so-called experts, have scared him”

“I have had to sweeten the deal”

Palaszczuk says that on top of allowing Guatam Adani and his corporation complete jurisdiction over the environmental future of central Queensland, she’s also giving him full permission to begin milling the already bleached coral from the reef, for cement powder.

In the 19th and 20th centuries, colonial settlers actually celebrated the abundance of dead coral that would occur through overfishing and invasive ship routes. Dead coral could be crushed, burned down, and turned into building materials or fertiliser. Dead coral had a use and potential for economic development, and has not been used since the Joh government.

“It just saves him the drama of bringing all those materials all the way over from India. Because lord knows he’s not interested in hiring local businesses”

“He’s got full reign on the reef. The dead stuff anyway”

“To all the critics. Listen to what I say very carefully”

“Jobs, jobs, jobs, power, keep the power on, cheaper energy, FIFO job, jet skis, toyotas, another mining boom, jobs”

  1. Thanks for a great article. Very informative. I’ve got one question though, is Annastacia Rob Borbidge’s love child? Geez they look related.
