A notorious Aussie hip hop artist from the Diamantina Shire has retired today, after running out of words that rhyme with ‘mate’ in his gritty urban Youtube tracks.
33-year-old MC BlokeWarz announced his retirement, effective immediately over a vertical Facebook video, where he spoke about how sick he was of fakers in the game, and how he was always limited because ‘radio heads’ didn’t respect ‘skip hop’ as a true art form.
Speaking in 3rd-person to the camera, the artist colloquially known as ‘Bloke-dub’ went on to speak about how the industry has been trying to block out Bloke-dub for years, and he feels his style is suffering from all the outside stress.
“I’m out of energy. Too many haters trying to talk shit” he said.
Bloke-dub then went on to explain how after nearly twenty years in the industry, he was running out of words to rhyme with ‘Beer and mates’ as well as ‘Fish and Chips’ and ‘Summer Arvos’.
One of MC BlokeWarz’ most notorious rivals, prominent Blue Mountains rapper Lil KoneKunt has already posted a 16 minute rap cypher with fellow rap associates, where he is seen calling out Bloke-Dub for being a fake.
Lil Konecunt made headlines in 2015, after falling victim to a one-punch drive-by attack from a Brisbane-based rival Regurgifinger.
As fans pay tributes to the career of MC BlokeWarz, the iconic Skip Hop rapper has vowed that he’ll remain ‘in the scene’ and has a few ‘new projects’ cooking up.
