If you are a normal person who hasn’t been closely following the flow-on affects of Labor’s landslide victory at the 2025 Federal Election, then you may not realise that the Coalition has officially split the sheets!

As of two hours ago, the Liberals and the Nationals are now seperate political parties, and will not for re-enter a coalition agreement.

The National Party is believed to have initiated this unholy divorce, after feeling themselves after putting on a fair better performance at the election than their coastal coalition. partners.

Nationals Leader David Littleproud and newly elected Liberal Leader Sussan Ley have been back and forth on negotiations for days, with the Nats now demanding more involvement in the shadow cabinet and policymaking.

It is believed the three issues that the Liberal Party could not bend on wre nuclear power, divesture powers for supermarkets and the Regional Australia Future Fund emerging as the key sticking points.

Mr Littleproud said he was hopeful the two parties would be able to come to a new agreement before the next federal election in three years, but given the fact the Nationals were dragged kicking and screaming to Net Zero under Morrison – this is highly unlikely.

Right around the country, lefties are now chortling about how unelectable Federal Opposition has become.

However, it is undeniable that separating themselves from the reactionary National Party might be the best thing that can happen to a Liberal Party, who has lost nearly 10 of their once safest blue-ribbon electorates to high-functioning Independent female candidates campaigning on integrity, climate action and gender equity.

It is not lost on female voters that the Nationals have made Sussan Ley’s first week a very difficult one.

But as the New Liberal leader has revealed today – two can play this game of pettiness.

It is believed Sussan Ley has immediately booked a bottomless brunch with the Teal Independents, as she works to drag the party back to where it was before the God botherers took over.

It is not clear what will be discussed at this boozy centre-right soiree, but no doubt Sussan Ley will be receiving all the affirmations she needs to get over the break up with that no-good cheating National Party.
