The Australian footballing community is buzzing today, after news broke about a huge international signing.

Melbourne City has confirmed that one of their players has broken the A-League Mens transfer record after being bought by a Belgian Club.

Young sensation Jordan Bos has confirmed a move to Belgian Pro League after he was bought by European powerhouses KVC Westerlo.

The European Club caused the splash today after revealing that they have parted ways with an entire case of Martens Pils for the up and coming defender.

The move surpasses the price Manchester City paid for Aaron Mooy a few years ago, which reportedly was a 6 pack of Old Speckled Hen with one beer missing.

“They actually threw a box of Guylian chocolates in too,” explained a spokesperson for Melbourne City today.

“Which was really nice, and went down a treat in the office.”

“We tried to hold out for a case of Stella, but couldn’t quite get there unfortunately.”

The huge move for the A-League is hopefully the beginning of the new era for Australia football, with dreams of one day being able to command multiple cases of Leffe.

More to come.
