Bradley Bambach likes to think that he tiptoes along the line with his humour.
The 28-year-old account manager at a boutique, bespoke agency in Betoota’s Old City District has been partial to a joke that hasn’t flown in the past.
So, that’s why he likes to get down to see some live comedy that really pushes the boundaries of what is societally acceptable.
As a result, the man who cites Kevin ‘Bloody’ Wilson as one of his favourite comedians, was bitterly disappointed by what he saw last night.
Heading down to the Entertainment Centre in Betoota’s French Quarter, Bambach thought he might be in for a night of risque one liner’s and skits thanks to South African comedian Trevor Noah.
With a gullet full of Betoota Bitter the unhappily married man was forced to sit through a borderline lame standup routine for nearly 90 minutes.
Speaking to The Advocate this morning, Bambach explained what a waste of time and money last night was.
“Fuck me. I thought maybe this guy likes to kick the hornet’s nest, and I am a guy who enjoys jokes that aren’t particularly clever but are offensive to people who aren’t me solely on the basis that they are offensive to people that aren’t me,” he said.
“But all I was treated to was an hour-long rant about what he thinks of Trump,” he said.
Bambach explained that while he isn’t exactly Eddie Murphy, comedians whose material solely revolves around Trump aren’t worth the price of admission.
“It’s fruit so low it’s already decomposing on the ground.”
