It appears the former Prime Minister Uncle Tony is continuing to immerse himself in the culture of Polynesian Australians, not even a full week after hooking up with an Islander girl at the 2018 Koori Knock Out.
The recently-appointed Special Envoy to Indigenous Affairs has today uploaded a grainy eight minute video to Youtube which shows him performing a reggae cover of the iconic ‘Wonderwall’ by British rock group, Oasis.
The video shows the Member For Warringah sitting around a kava bowl with an unknown back-up singer.
Uncle Tony X, or as he is now known by his new islander mates, Uncle Tane X, appears to be fitting in well with his new crowd.
His new ties to the Pacific Islander population has provided the Member For Warringah with a stronger sense of community – after a whirlwind five weeks that has seen him rapidly transform into a radical black nationalist, enter the NSW prison system and convert to Islam, hook up with a nesian girl from Griffith, and now regularly take part in Kava ceremonies.
It appears that Uncle Tane [Tony] has become somewhat of a cult icon for many different ethnic minorities right across the country, ever since he gave a conditional yes to taking on the job of the Federal Government’s Indigenous envoy.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not ask Uncle Tony to be a minister in his new Government, but instead asked him to take on the role of envoy, citing his close association with Aboriginal Australia after growing up in a six bedroom mansion in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and working for the Liberal Party for nearly three decades.
However, it appears that Uncle Tony has decided to embrace the new non-cabinet pity role, after getting 8000 views on his new youtube video.
At time of press Uncle Tane X was seen beatboxing while strumming along to an acoustic version of Chris Brown’s ‘With You’.
