Former Prime Minister and respected Northern Beaches community elder, Uncle Tony has reportedly been caught out showboating in the beer garden of the Monavale RSL this evening.
The Former Member for Warringah was seen sneaking in a bit of charge while Aunty Marg had a slap on the pokies. However, it is believed that one turned into a couple, and before long Uncle Tony was heard bragging about his little nephew, Illuka.
According to Uncle Tony, his deadly nephew is the next Latrell, and has up to six clubs chasing him – and that’s not even including the rugby and and AFL scouts that have been floating around.
Uncle Tony’s talent extended family have recently come to light after the Member for Warringah gave a conditional yes to taking on the job of the Federal Government’s Indigenous envoy.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not ask Mr Abbott to be a minister in his new Government, but instead asked him to take on the role of envoy, citing his close association with Aboriginal Australia after growing up in a six bedroom mansion in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and working for the Liberal Party for nearly three decades.
In fact, Abbott’s close ties to family and culture were right on display this afternoon, as he made the bold claim that his nephew will be playing Origin in a couple years.
“Go ask Cliffy Lyons if you don’t believe me. Go on then.” said The former Prime Minister.
