A young luminary has today offered up one final pitch ahead of the 2025 Federal Election.
Brett Tadic (26) from our town’s leafy Betoota Grove district has explained to The Advocate that the nation is missing a serious opportunity if it doesn’t back nuclear moving forward.
The young man who works in some city business job he can’t really explain to his parents, Tadic says he’s actually a big fan of nuclear power.
“Nuclear is actually the best option for our country,” he explained.
Australia is one of the few countries where using nuclear energy to produce electricity is illegal. The ban was introduced in 1998, when the Howard government made a deal with the Greens.
“All you stupid lefties are scared of it because of a few documentaries and movies, but it’s actually the most efficient use of power we can have,” continued Tadic, who is apparently a power expert now.
Despite pretty much every scientist and energy expert saying nuclear is a way more expensive source of power that would take decades to even get up and running, Tadic says that’s just not the case.
“It would only take 10 years to build,” said Tadic as if Australia has ever built anything on time.
When asked why we wouldn’t just continue investing in clean energy that has continued to provide increasing power to the grid all over the world, Tadic laughed.
“The rest of the world loves nuclear,” he said, referencing a handful of countries who all started building nuclear infrastructure years or decades ago.
“And the rest of the world thinks we are idiots for not doing it,” finished Tadic about our country, which the rest of the world thinks are idiots because we have endless renewable resources that we are still yet to capitlise on.
More to come.
