Tech leaders have continued to live up to their socially unaware stereotype as they unveiled another AI software that has once again freaked everyone out.
Despite no public demand—and even active pleas for tech giants to hold off—Google has gone ahead and unveiled its new “VEO 3” AI video generator.
VEO 3 is able to generate clips that most users online can’t seem to distinguish from those made by human filmmakers and actors.
“Yeah we are absolutely fucked” said one man learning about the newest Ai innovation.
The announcement was accompanied by a sleek promo video that showed AI-generated footage of children laughing in golden-hour lighting, prompting immediate panic from the film industry.
The new Ai software continues humanity’s descent into a new era of information in which absolutely nothing can be taken as truth and where there is no longer a need for the human creative spirit.
“I know people thought the invention of Ai would result in the freeing up of humans from menial tasks.. But it’s actually the opposite, AI is here to undercut human creativity for the sole purpose of larger profit margins” said one tech bro.
“It’s great isn’t it!”
In response to public outcry, a Google spokesperson stated, “We hear your concerns, and we’re actively ignoring them”
Experts warn that tools like VEO 3 could soon be weaponised to create convincing political propaganda at scale or de-legitimise real videos that could threaten the power structure, but tech bros remain focused on maximising engagement metrics and dressing like 18 year old Tiktokers from LA in 2017.
