It’s been a fantastic day for Swifties around the nation, as the Reserve Bank of Australia announced news of rate cuts just minutes before Taylor Swift announced her upcoming album, ‘The Life Of A Showgirl.’

There were whispers online this afternoon as eagle-eyed Swifties noticed a mysterious countdown clock appear on Taylor Swift’s website.

Due to the pop star’s love of easter eggs, many correctly assumed that the clock was counting down to an announcement on her 12th album, due to a message that read it would ‘expire ‘ on August 12 at 12:12 am (2:12 pm AEST).

This news has coincided perfectly with the interest rate decision by the RBA board, which lowered the rate to 3.60 per cent from 3.85 per cent.

Which means there is a cross-section of Aussies who are having an absolutely wonderful day today.

Unfortunately for Swifties, they will have to subject themselves to a bloke’s sports podcast if they want to hear from the pop star herself, who be interviewed by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason as part of their ‘New Heights Show.’

It’s unknown what date the 12th album will drop, though there are rumours circulating that there may be a collaboration with a certain pint sized horny singer.

More to come.
