The great state of Queensland is once again revelling in being the leader of the nation.
While counts continue in a number of seats across the country, enough dust has settled to confirm that Queensland is once again the progressive thought leader when it comes to politics.
Fresh off the back of a Greenslide that saw a 300% trumping of Melbourne in 2022, Queensland now has now significantly lapped the filthy chauvinist pigs down south for new female representation.
Despite the near constant assumption that they are better than Queensland, the unwashed south in Victoria and Sydney have once again lived up to their name.
With Queensland electing 6 new female MPs, the state has trebled the number of Victoria and New South Wales, who only have a few more people combined in their population.
As Labor Minister Anika Wells explained, Labor has elected enough women to field a netball team, with at this stage only a couple of women getting the start.
“Yeah, the MAGA boys down south have a long way to come,” laughed local Queenslander Daly Munster.
“It’s just pretty sad to see that they still haven’t got their act together in 2025.”
“I guess we’ll just keep doing what we do and hope the rest of the country can catch up.”
More to come.
