The New South Wales Blues have categorically rejected last night’s State of Origin result in Adelaide and are now demanding a recount.
Blues coach Bradley Fittler added that should his team be denied to recount, he will challenge the result in the Supreme Court of South Australia.
“That game was stolen from us,” explained Fittler.
“We took an early lead and then suddenly, all these points came for the Maroons. Points out of nowhere. The occassional try, that’s it,”
“There needs to be a recount of the final score. There’s no way NSW only scored 14 points, we scored so many at the start. If they don’t let us, we will take the result to court.”
The Queensland Maroons have yet to respond to the NSW camp’s threats and insiders within the camp have indicated that a response probably isn’t coming.
More to come.
