In some sad news for gamers, but welcome news for the rest of the nation – it appears as though we may see a resolution to the housing crisis before people can play GTA VI.

This follows new revelations that the release date has been pushed back again for GTA IV.

This time it’s been moved to May 2026, with fans now beginning to come to terms that they may be burnt, or buried in the ground before the cult favourite is ever released.

It’s also been confirmed that the Australian housing crisis may be resolved before the game is released, with multiple election cycles now expected before it’s in anyone’s hot little hands.

With a couple of generations of people crying out for a video game that transports them back to better times, Rockstar games have been tight lipped around the release and reasons for the delays.

Rockstar have yet to comment on why it take less time to turn the human right that is housing into a universal entitlement as opposed to an asset designed to increase wealth, then get some graphics and gameplay sorted.

“Look, we don’t have a media, political and economic class hellbent on ensuring that the general public doesn’t get its hand on the game, but we have lots of other stuff going on,” explained a spokesperson for Rockstar games.

“So just back off, and keep getting hyped for the game okay.”

More to come.
