A Betoota Heights woman is today regretting her win, after her boyfriend finally caved into her requests for a clean shaven look.
Mel Fine, 28, tells our reporter that her boyfriend Kel had sported a scraggy beard since the moment she met him, and that she’d embarked on an ambitious two month campaign for him to get rid of the scruff – only to discover he’d been hiding a bit of a baby face.
Mel says she arrived home this afternoon to see a strange bloke walking around the house, which caught her so suddenly she almost screamed.
But it turned out that this strange bloke was in fact, Kel, sporting a new clean shaven look.
“Oh god I just wanted to see his face”, says Mel, with a grimace, “but it looks like a completely different person.”
“I can’t even say how much I hate it because it’s my fault.”
Mel admits Kel looks a lot better with a beard, as a layer of facial hair gives his jawline a lot more definition.
“It’s true what they say, the beard is the push up bra for blokes.”
“I think I’ll wait until he’s got some stubble to request the beard goes back on again.”
