A French Quarter woman has revealed how she knocked out a home intruder, using a rather unconventional weapon found in the kitchen.
Elsa Phipps, 30, was half asleep when she shuffled into her kitchen at roughly 1:30 am this morning, only to come face to face with an intruder who looked ‘just as scared as she was.’
Operating on pure adrenaline, Elsa says she quickly grabbed the largest item she could find within grabbing distance before swinging it at the intruder’s head, swifting knocking him out in one hit.
It was only after the shock had worn off that Elsa realised she’d used a loaf of day-old sourdough bread, which was reportedly so rock hard, it bruised his jaw.
However, Elsa has since learned that the poor fella was actually her neighbour, who’d gotten into the piss and wandered into the wrong townhouse.
“I knew sourdough bread gets hard after a day, but I didn’t know it could be used as a weapon” admits Elsa, “I swung it so hard I heard his jaw crack.”
“I could have chipped a tooth on that.”
Elsa’s neighbour has evaded being charged due to his high alcohol reading and lack of coherence, which either stemmed from being drunk out of his mind or from suffering a mild concussion.
More to come.
