A local French Quarter architect has today revealed to The Advocate one of the keys to happiness.
Alistair Button (51) from our town’s stinky terrace house district explained to us how he manages to keep his mental health humming, no matter what’s happening around him.
The gainfully employed man who lived it up a little too hard in his 20s and 30s and only just got into the housing market a few years ago explained that he religiously picks up a self help book every 6 months, and that keeps him on track.
“Yeah the Subtle Art is a great one,” he laughed.
“The Let Them Theory is also pretty top shelf, but I’ve only read that one a couple of times.”
“Reading books like that helps keep me sane,” he said.
“As well as whinging about being the in-between generation that didn’t get the benefit of record growth or cool things like social media.”
“That’s really key to keep the head above water.”
More to come.
