A French Quarter boomer couple is blissfully unaware they’re on many young couples’ hit lists, having been spotted at multiple house auctions this year.
Having already snapped up several well-priced homes in Betoota Heights, Tabitha and Doyle Crabb, have now decided to turn their sights to the most affordable area of Betoota – The Ponds.
One couple, Tim and Alex Price, tell The Advocate that this is the ‘third time they’ve spotted these cunts’, who have no qualms about adding $50,000 to the asking price.
The older couple have now been unaffectionately dubbed ‘Team Rocket’, for their propensity of showing and stealing every auction.
But unlike Team Rocket, Tabitha and Doyle are sadly quite competent.
“We almost got a three-bedroom in the heights a couple of months ago, and in rolled Team Rocket as fucking usual”, laments Alex, who says she won’t even think about having children unless they have a stable home, “it’s honestly getting to the point where it’s hands on sight.”
Another young couple looking to get their foot into the housing market, say Team Rocket beat them to their dream house last year, which has now been flipped into an overpriced rental.
“The rent they’re charging is less than the mortgage we’d have to pay if we got the place”, seethes Raul.
“Wish they’d fucking blast off!”
