FIRE ZE MISSILES! A popular JPEG video from the early 2000s has proven to have a pretty accurate depiction of the end of the world, which has left many Australians breathing a sigh of relief.
The one and half minute video, which could be found on humour sites such as Ebaumsworld and Funny Junk, detailed the ongoing feud between the United States and China, as well as multiple countries, including Israel, mercilessly firing missiles at each other.
Australia, represented by a sad looking kangaroo, manages to avoid being pulled into any world conflict but eventually succumbs to climate change years later.
One millennial, who still finds herself saying ‘Hokay’ and ‘I’m le tired’ to this day, says it comes as no surprise that shitty animation video from the early 2000s would prove to be the Baba Vanga of our generation.
“There are a few videos that forever changed the trajectory of my life, and that was one of them”, says Kelsey Culverhouse, 31, who has been chronically online since she was seven years old.
“That, and one man one jar.”
“I can still hear the sound of that glass breaking inside his arsehole.”
More to come.
