The Reserve Grade coach of the Betoota Muttaburrasaurus’, Brett Simpson, has today issued a strong ultimatum.
The 8th year leader of the fabled Mutts Reggies team who managed to go winless for the first time in the town’s history a couple of years ago, has told everyone that attendance at tonight’s session is a must.
However, training won’t be at the Sir Joh Oval (The Johval), it will be at the PUB!
This follows weather wreaking havoc on the season once again, closing the grounds for training tonight.
But, despite being 5 rounds into the season after a long pre-season, with niggles and injuries starting to bite as the temperature drops, Simmo says going to stay warm and watch the State of Origin is not an option.
“Mandatory bonding session at the Royal, ALL must attend,” ordered Simmo, who has been told multiple times by his wife that he needs move the scales back towards his family a little bit.
“Lots to run through ahead of the weekend, and what better way than with a couple of schooners!”
Despite Simmo’s strong demands, an outbreak of illness has hit a number of players, with others all of a sudden remembering commitments they had forgotten about.
More to come.
