Victoria, and greater Australia, has today let out a long sigh of relief.
Citizens of our wide nation are currently revelling in the fact that they can now sleep easy, after one of the greatest criminal masterminds was brought to justice.
Erin Patterson (aka the Mushroom Lady or Mushroom Killer, formerly known as the alleged Mushroom Killer) was found guilty by a jury on all charges relating to the ill-fated mushroom lunch.
Ms Patterson had pleaded not guilty to murdering three relatives and attempting to murder another by serving them beef Wellingtons containing death cap mushrooms during a lunch at her home in July 2023.
However, after a lengthy trial and days of deliberation by the jury, a guilty verdict has been found for Patterson.
She will now be sentenced, pending appeal, in a move that has the nation walking with clear air.
The verdict came down in a long running trial that saw the most devious criminal mastermind atone for her sins, before she could continue her rein of mushroom terror.
The verdict is now set to unleash a torrent of material that was being held back by suppression orders with rumours already swirling about who will play Patterson in the inevitable biopic.
More to come.
