Old habits really do die hard, as a 32 year old Betoota Heights woman, Clara Dane, still finds herself instinctively busting out the peace sign whenever someone puts a camera in front of her.
As someone who heavily updated her Facebook profile back in the day, Clara fell victim to the three poses every millennial woman has featured in their ‘Craaaazy night wit the girlz’ album – the duck face, the peace sign, and the knee pop hand on the hip.
Though Clara has retired the duck face and knee pop, she admits that the one she hasn’t been quite able to let go is the peace sign.
And at this point, she doesn’t know if she ever will.
“I just don’t know what else to do with my hands in photos”, Clara admits, with a shrug, “every time I just leave my arms hanging down, they look fucking huge for some reason.”
Clara is not alone in her struggle, as millennials around the world fight the urge to declare peace in fear of looking cringe, or ‘cheugy’ as the young ones say these days.
“I swear to god, I’ll be doing it in my wedding photos.”
“It’s just too hardwired into my brain.”
More to come.
