“Tessssaaaa! Can I invite a few of the boys over for beers? Pleeeeaaaasssse” whined fully grown 30-year-old Luke Turner.
“Uh, yeah I spose? I don’t know why you’re asking me, it’s your house too.”
This was all the permission an excited little Lukey needed to quickly whip together a message inviting up to 10 of his friends over for an end of lockdown party.
“Dear friends, I’d like to invite you all to my house on Friday to have fun and drink some beers with me. Please arrive anytime after 12:00pm and don’t forget sunscreen. RSVP by 10:00am the day of to let me know if you’re coming – Tessa said she’d make hot wings for us!” Read Luke’s invitation.
Speaking with the Advocate after sending the invitation, Luke revealed that he hasn’t been this nervous to hear back from his friends since his 10th birthday.
“Man I was stressed, I’d invited my crush Sophia, which was a big move back then”
“This is nearly on par, god I hope everyone can make it!”
With uncertainty around what will be socially acceptable, we hope for Luke’s sake that his little party can go ahead as planned and he and the boys can cook their brains like they did in the good old days.
More to come.
