An older gentleman has decided to add some spice to everyone’s morning by deciding to stand up on the bus at the worst possible time.
Graham Todd (88), is a daily commuter who just loves putting the rest of the bus on edge when he’s feeling a little bored.
“All I have to do is stand up when the light is just about to go green and the entire bus takes their headphones out and gets ready to spring into action! It’s great!” Graham explained.
Harpreet Singh Sidhu (47), the bus driver for the 470 bus route, says he’s used to Graham’s antics by now.
“Oh yes, Graham is a master at pinpointing the perfect time to stand up that would have him flying to the back of the bus if he didn’t have an iron grip on the pole”
The senior citizen has even recruited some friends from his assisted living community to join in on the fun.
“I’m so happy that Graham has shown the rest of us how funny this can be, it’s hilarious and gets the adrenaline pumping! I feel like I’m 45 again!” said Lenora Trento (82), while coming down from the rush of standing up on the bus at the worst possible.
Some passengers have begun referring to the group as the “Bus Parkour Seniors,” though Graham insists it’s more about “testing the reflexes of today’s youth.”
NSW Transport has issued a polite reminder to the elderly community to remain orderly on the train.
