The sharpest minds in traditional media have today come together to try and harness their combined editorial genius.

Editors at Sky, the Daily Tele and the Herald Sun have linked up from their respective offices this afternoon to brainstorm creative names for the Prime Minister.

Namely (pardon the pun) they have been spitballing whether they can get away with calling the PM Anthony Hamasbanese…

“Obviously we had a variation for this first name, but for your sake and ours we won’t tell you what that was,” laughed Toorak Hawthorn, one of the big wigs at the Herald Sun.

“But we think Hamasbanese is really clever, and really want to give it a spin…”

“Because it’s a combo of Hamas and Albanese. Get it?”

The search for the new title comes after Anthony Albanese’s government made the decision to fall in line with pretty much everyone else in the world, and recognise the state of Palestine.

The move has of course drawn criticism from sectors like the NewsCorp Media and the Liberal Party.

It has also since been praised by Hamas (as if they would criticise the decision or something???), which has led to the aforementioned parties sensationalising the decision.

“It’s just disgraceful,” said the News Corp editor, who apparently finds a decision to recognise the right of a people to exist appalling, but not the genocide of that people by their neighbours.

“So I think it’s fair to pretty much say Albanese is a part of the terrorist group.”

More to come.
