In a sign of the times, moderately popular rug store Crazy Sam’s Discount Rugs Closing Down Everything Must Go has announced a limit of 2 rugs per customer due to supply problems caused by COVID-19.
“The 2 rug limit is just a precaution to make sure we don’t run out of stock” said Crazy Sam’s Discount Rugs Closing Down Everything Must Go proprietor Crazy Sam.
“Some of the product lines come from Victoria so we can’t restock them at the moment. It’s been pretty wild lately, we’ve been selling 2-3 rugs a day. The last thing we want to do is run out of stock. We just signed a three year lease in June”.
Meanwhile, first-time Crazy Sam’s Discount Rugs Closing Down Everything Must Go customer Sam Kentas says the 2 rug limit would not really affect him.
“I just wanted a hall runner for near the front door, I don’t need a rug for every room or anything” he explained.
“I’m happy to help this poor bloke get rid of his stock so he can finally shut down Crazy Sam’s Discount Rugs Closing Down Everything Must Go. But, I mean, if Crazy Sam really is practically giving all his stock away in a mad rug frenzy like his ad says, you know, I would feel pretty bad taking advantage of someone with mental health issues anyway.”
