In a huge win for 98% of the nation, Clive Palmer has today confirmed he will be bowing out of politics.
The loud mouth property and minerals magnate announced that he will no longer be pouring 100s of millions of dollars into federal election campaigns.
Palmer has said that he’s ‘too old for politics’ now, in some welcome news for the millions of people receiving unsolicited Trumpet texts every day.
The party only picked up 1.85 per cent of the primary vote, with One Nation outperforming it on 6.17 per cent.
However, thankfully Clive Palmer won’t be completely stepping away from wasting money on public life.
He has revealed that he will fund a groundbreaking study into one of society’s age old questions: who would win a fight between a silverback gorilla and 100 human males?
Discussed around the globe for millennia, the debate has flared back up again recently on the internet.
Clive has promised to set up a new research institute and gorilla breeding program to simulate 1000 gorilla vs man fights, in an effort to offer a conclusive answer.
Soil will be turned on the research institute as early as next week.
More to come.
