The Federal Election campaign has just taken an extremely weird twist today.

With polls roughly 24 hours away from closing around the country, an foodie influencer has been dragged right into the thick of the fray after allegations of plagiarism.

Brooki Bakehouse has somehow become a flashpoint on the campaign trail, after former Prime Minister Scott Morrison accused her of stealing his “raw chicken curry.”

The allegations follow those from RecipeTin Eats founder and disciple of home cooking Nagi Nagi Maehashi, that Brooki Bakehouse pinched her recipes.

Other author’s have since popped up claiming plagiarism, with Nagi’s avid followers preparing to ride out at dawn to fight for her.

However, it seems like Brooki will now face an attack from another flank, with noted chef Scott Morrison now coming for her as well.

The allegations stem around the Raw Chicken Curry that Scomo made during the last election campaign, when he was focusing on being an everyday relatable bloke who can get his staffers to cook, instead of running the country.

Speaking to The Advocate with whom he has mended his relationship with and is now a massive fan, Scomo told us he can’t believe the act of plagarism from Brooki.

“Mate, I’m just a fucking bloke out here tyrnna fucking cook, and this online sheila is stealing my recipes,” said Scomo.

“Fucking disgraceful.”

Brooki has yet to respond to The Advocate’s request for comment.

More to come.
