A Victorian AFL player who’s been forced to flee his home state has told The Advocate that he’s finding life difficult outside of Victoria for a range of reasons.
One of them being the fact that outside of Victoria, there’s a culture of washing your hands after you go to the bathroom and before you eat.
An Instagram-verified third-string Collingwood footballer spoke briefly to The Advocate today about his homesickness and how life is different on the road.
“Did you know in New South Wales, if you cough on somebody, they get angry at you? I almost got punched out by some bloke in Brisbane the other day,” he said.
“And in Queensland, if you take a shit, they expect you to wash your hands afterwards. What are these people? French?! [laughs] Man, I didn’t think it’d be this hard living outside of Victoria but it’s actually fucked,”
“They even ask you to wash your hands before you eat or enter a shop. These people are scaredy flogs,”
“I can’t wait for this whole thing to be over. Back home in Victoria, you can do what you want.”
