TV experts and armchair critics have confirmed that the weekend’s F1 should make for some interesting viewing.
Playing out in front of a record crowd at Albert Park, the Melbourne Grand Prix was chock a block full of drama, with multiple crashes causing the race to finish under a safety car.
That resulted in Max Verstappen, a local fan favourite who is unanimously loved by the crowd and the motorsport world, winning the race.
Thankfully there was some good news, with Australian Oscar Piastri getting his first F1 points – which may or may not have been to do with multiple cars crashing and or experiencing mechanical failure.
Regardless of the result, Drive to Survive fans have unanimously confirmed that this race should make for some sensational television.
“Oh god there will be some drama and bickering out of that,” laughed local woman Lauren Crowe who made it down south for the big race.
“There will have been plenty of explosions trackside I reckon.”
“Imagine Guenther Steiner (the Haas team boss) when Hulkenberg sent his tire into orbit,” she laughed about the bloke that can swear with the best of them.
“Might have been a cuss word or two maybe.”
“Toto and Horner probably would have been carrying on too,” she laughed.
“I reckon if Lewis had a chance to use the new tires to his advantage on the last couple of laps, Horner would have gone off his nut.”
“God it’s gonna be good, hopefully I make it into one of the shots,” she laughed.
More to come.
