In what may be the strangest TikTok trend yet, a series of weird pay-to-watch TikToks have been released and are going for like two hours.
Launching in 2017, TikTok is a video sharing social media app that you have already heard about whether you like it or not.
In the past five years TikTok has been the paramount platform driving social media trends and has already changed the way people consume media, particularly amongst those under 30 and anyone who wants to have something to talk about with their younger coworkers.
It is for that reason that people are confused as to why there are now wildly different TikToks that go for hours, have smooth greenscreen effects and do not feature a single AI generated voice over.
“The platform has changed too much,” stated one TikTok fan as they left one of the specialised venues currently screening the bulky TikToks.
“You know it costs as much as two vapes to watch right?”
