Jetstar has confirmed rumours this morning that it has indeed been unable to repatriate a man who’s been stuck in Bali for 18 days after the airline ran into “trouble” in recent weeks.
The man, who spoke to an online frequent flyer forum, said that his travel insurance has covered his inconvenience to this date but is still waiting for poor man’s Qantas to get its act together and get him back to Australia.
“It’s not good,” he said.
“I’ve been stuck here for weeks. My boss is having kittens. I need to get home and see my family.”
However, Jetstar has hit back at the man, telling The Advocate that they can’t believe the hide on “this prick”.
The airline’s deputy chief operating officer spoke to our reporter about Jetstar’s recent troubles and difficultly getting people home.
“Can you believe this guy?” they asked.
“Complaining about being trapped in a tropical paradise. Away from his screaming family and work responsibilities. Poor guy. Seriously though, what the fuck is this guy’s problem? You’re stuck in Bali. Stop having a sook and go enjoy the island while you still can. Plus, it’s not like it’s costing him anything. This fucking guy is on Rhonda and Ketut’s dime. Probably,”
“Like, he needs to calm down. Like, we’re going to get him home. He should just shut up and enjoy his surprise holiday.”
The Advocate reached out to the stranded traveller for comment but have yet to receive a reply.
More to come.
