Snuggling up on the couch, local couple Millie Hobbs and Connor Fowler began the arduous task of finding something to watch.
This has become their new norm now that the freezing weather has hit, resulting in them subscribing to even more streaming platforms in them and devouring television series at a rate of roughly four episodes a night.
However, the rapid increase in screen time has managed to make the already difficult task of finding something to watch almost impossible, though it has opened them up to trying genres they’d ordinarily shy from – such as Millie’s preference for shows that aren’t ‘too gory.’
“What about The Boys?” asked Connor, having seen a few Tik Toks promoting some of the hectic scenes from the new season.
Thinking the show must be about some blokes going on a bender, Millie asks if it’s like The Hangover.
“Umm, no not really.”
“It shows what people would be like if they had super powers. Like, imagine if the authorities could shoot laser beams from their eyes. They’d be corrupt as fuck.”
Seeing her non committal face, Connor says something he’s sure will prick his girlfriend’s ears up.
“Alsoooo, it’s by the guy who created Supernatural and Dean Winchester is in the new season.”
