A local man is still whinging about the same shit he was whinging about a year ago, it can be confirmed today.
Betoota Grove resident Brenton Williams is still furious about the fact that ‘he cannot find any staff to work.’
The owner of three yuppie bars in Betoota’s Old City District said the whole ‘labor shortage’ has gone beyond a joke.
“I can’t find anyone for love or money,” explained the hospo mogul who actually isn’t offering love, nor money.
“It’s just impossible,” continued Williams, who has done next to nothing to change the situation he has been faced with.
“And it’s been going on for too long,” said the man who is still complaining about the same issue, that he is still refusing to compromise on.
When asked whether he had considered maybe raising the wages he offered and allowing people better working conditions, Williams scoffed.
“Pffffft” he laughed.
“People should be stoked with 20 bucks an hour, no super or entitlements to work shifts that finish well into the night and often take place over the weekend,” he said, ignoring the fact he hasn’t been sober in one of his venues past 8:30 in the last 5 years.
“Besides, we offer a 10% top-up for anyone who works past 3am, so I’m not sure what all the whinging is about.”
The whinging comes as the opening of borders has yet to make a significant impact on the number of employees available on the job market, allowing individuals to have a slightly larger bargaining position when it comes to their labour.
“I’m trying to fly some people into work in my business, that’s how bad it’s got,” explained Williams, the proud owner of 250 poker machines.
“Because Aussies are just bloody lazy”
“People have had it too good, for too long,” finished the man who pours a couple of beers once every six months and then bangs on for weeks about how he doesn’t like getting his hands dirty.
