A young Harrington Park family is the talk of their scale-model suburb today after the most recent addition to the family was named “Timothy” after his grandfather.
Parents Ayden and Charmayden said it was a difficult decision to make but they had always planned to name him Tim, and didn’t care what anybody else thought.
However, other residents have been less receptive of the unusual name.
“That is so slack, he’s gonna cop it at school, big time” said neighbor Hayden Jenson. “Me and Kimberlayden both reckon that they should have gone with a normal name like we did with Brayden, Jayden and Jessicayden”.
On the other side of the street, Kayden Bristol is concerned about the practicality of unique names.
“Sure, it sounds cute for a baby, and it might be easy to fit on a numberplate, but weird names like “Tim” probably won’t age well. Plus, you know, for those that aren’t familiar with it, it could be a bit tricky to spell.”
“I mean, it’s not his fault, I won’t hold it against the poor little bugger, but they could have called him something more reasonable like Timothayden or even Tayden” said Kayden.
“When me and Rebeccayden have kids we’ll definitely go with something traditional but we haven’t really decided on their names yet. Or, you know, we haven’t decided on the first part of their names anyway.”
