The NSW Propaganda arm of State and Federal Government has today issued a stirring plea for ordinary citizens to do better.
For the first time since it’s long-running and powerful defence of the Franking Credit and Climate Change Denial community, the Daily Telegraph has stood up for a marginalised community – the NSW Police Force.
The vulnerable and defenceless NSW Police force is this week reeling after the nation has spoken up about them maybe not doing racist shit like harassing indigenous teens and putting them in life-threatening situations, not addressing Indigenous deaths in custody or the high Indigenous incarceration rates and doing something about the ingrained and systematic racism that seems to spread all the way through the force.
Issuing a strong front page featuring a young white woman, the Government’s media release pamphlet issued a request that people be nice to our police force.
This follows the police force’s comments this week that stereotyping isn’t that nice when it happens to them, and everyone should stop hurting their feelings.
“Cops are tops!” said the Daily Telegraph’s Editor today.
“And we here at the NSW Police Media, want the public to respect our Boys in Blue despite a long history of questionable behaviour that we haven’t done anything about addressing,” he said.
“We aren’t interested in standing up for other minorities that have less power than the NSW Police Force and Boomers. We’ve created a storied history of demonising those other minorities, and we aren’t keen on changing that any time soon!”
