As the sporting world continues to look forward to the return of live-action, a salivating prospect has been dangled before the nation, a heavyweight bout of epic proportions.
With the rumour mill going into overdrive after Mike Tyson posted footage of him looking fighting fit, The Betoota Advocate can reveal that a deal for him to fight media and gambling mogul James Packer is nearly over the line.
And what’s more, the fight’s going to be in Australia!
With Tyson looking for an opponent and the names of Sonny Bill-Williams and Barry Hall being bandied around, it’s believed noted brawler and similarly aged Packer put his hand up.
Understandably refusing to speak to The Advocate himself, a source close to Packer explained that the deal is as good as done.
“James is keen, and he’s a pretty hand scrapper, so he reckons he’ll be able to hold his own,” the source explained.
“They are going to host it at the Crown Casino down there in Melbourne, so you don’t have to worry about any of those things like visas, travel, restrictions or so on.”
“Because, as I’m sure you are aware, anything goes there.”
“Someone suggested the Star in Sydney, but no fights ever get recorded around that place, so that idea was quickly scrapped.”
The source couldn’t confirm when the fight would take place but explained it would likely be before the end of the year.
More to come.
