The ALP has hit back at claims this afternoon they’re not doing actually doing anything to oppose the near-sighted and regressive policies that the Coalition is attempting to put forward.
In an impassioned speech to the media this morning in a very cold Canberra, Labor leader Anthony Albanese said that the ALP is on track to deliver a viable opposition to the government.
“Labor has made a promise to oppose and fight unfair policy that the government puts forward,” said Mr Albanese.
“By 2022, the ALP will be running on all cylinders opposing policies such as the regressive, near-sighted tax policy we just let through Parliament without a real fight,”
“We also plan to offer a real alternative to the Coalition by that time. Go Souths and remember, Malcolm Turnbull was embroiled in the Panama Papers scandal and none of your journalists did anything about it, so don’t come in here and throw shit on me. Albo never forgets.”
The Advocate reached out to the Office of the Home Affairs minister for comment – but they were too shocked to reply by the fact anybody at our newspaper is still alive after all the anthrax they’ve sent us over the years.
More to come.
