Iconic horse caller Bruce McAvaney has today stormed out of the commentary box at The Valley in Moonee Ponds this afternoon, after witnessing the majestic grace of the world record breaking Australian wonder mare Winx go for an unprecedented fourth straight win.
McAvaney appeared to be extremely frisky during the race, as cameras show him gently running his fingers over his chest and readjusting his tie every couple of minutes.
“Oh baby” he whispered.
“Oh hell yeah baby”
Following the national icon’s explosive finish, McAvaney was seen rushing out of the commentary box like a teenager who had just turned off his PC screen as his parents walked in.
“Out of my way!” he shouted, before grabbing a towel from costuming and heading straight to dress and make up.
At time of press, McAvaney was seen apologising to his coworkers, stating that he got a little worked up and that he was much better after a cold shower and cornflakes.
“Haha. Sorry. She just really gets me going that little pony” he said.
The career sports commentator then blushed when one of his soundies began singing the famous rnb ballad ‘My Pony’ by Ginuwine.
