A relatively bright 22-year-old caucasian Australian has today revealed that British actor Tom Hardy has appeared in enough movies that were targeted directly at him, to confidently say that he is his favourite actor.
While surprising absolutely no one with this admission, Keenan Kelly (22) makes a point of beginning his fanboy Hardy-rant by bringing up a movie that isn’t The Dark Knight Rises, instead opting for something a bit more indie, like Bronson.
“Yeah, he’s so good. Like, everything he is in” says Keenan, who is quick to point out that Tom Hardy is also in heaps of good TV shows, like Taboo and Peaky Blinders, which as action-packed gangster-drama series set in a romantic part of British History, are also targeted at his direct demographic.
His confidence in declaring that Tom Hardy is one of the best actors in the word is something that he is rarely forced to justify, especially to white women and white gay men.
The fact that Tom Hardy is widely regarded as an amazing on-screen talent, both institutionally and conversationally, means that a boyish obsession with him is easily articulated by Keenan, who also likes, to a lesser degree, James Franco.
When asked if he has any other interests, Keenan points out that he really liked Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor until about 24 hours ago, and Compton-based rap superstar, Kendrick Lamar.
