Local fitspo/bikini model Charlotte Webber (19) has today paid tribute to the late South African political revolutionary, Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) by posting one of his most iconic quotes as the caption to her newest photo.
While posing in 9-degree weather this morning, Charlotte shows off one of the 16 new bikinis that was posted to her PO box today – and uses the opportunity to spread the word of the historical civil rights figure.
Her new bikini, which has been provided by a Bali-based designer YassKween pairs seamlessly with the now famous quote of the anti-apartheid activist.
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” writes Charlotte, in one of her three political-themed captions this year.
The photo, which shows Charlotte scruffing her hair up on a freezing cold beach in Wollongong, has been praised for elegantly promoting the themes of freedom and equality – by relaying them into the mobile phones of hundreds of thousands of teenage boys and construction workers.
Local tradesman, Kyal (45) says that he didn’t know too much about mid-90s South African politics until he started following Charlotte.
“Here I was thinking that she’s was just there to provide me with a bit of softcore porn to fill the void left in my life by the closure of Zoo Magazine – but I’m learning new things every day”
“Have you heard of this Gandhi bloke?’
