A flurry of emails from every single website that you have ever given your email address to is a stark reminder of how much time has been wasted on the internet since it’s earliest incarnation.
Emails from Bebo, Farmville, several different peer to peer audio streaming platforms and Myspace have updated their oblivious users on the fact that they still have all the details.
“Phone, email, address.” says one of the two employees at Myspace’s Australia offices in Loganlea.
“I don’t know why we even asked for street address, but you gave it to us. In like 2003”

However, as is only expected with the internet, these emails are being deleted faster than the personal details were entered in the first place.
“You don’t really care what we do with this hey” said another prominent social media platform from Uni.
“Just thought we’d let you know that we aren’t going to sell your details to anyone”
