A local desk jockey from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs is really ramping up the PR this week.

Alistair Whitely-Watson, who will be making the recreational journey outside of the Bondi Bubble for the first time since the City 2 Surf, is making sure to tell everyone he meets about it.

“Yeah, got the mara this weekend,” laughed Alistair, to a random colleague from the other side of the open plan office, who hasn’t spoken to for a couple of weeks.

“Yeah pretty hectic hey,” continued the bloke who got really really into running a couple of years ago, after being really really into cycling for a couple of years, after being really really into golf for a couple of years after being really really into rugby.

As well as documenting his running patterns on Strava (shared to IG stories and a couple of TikyTok videos), Alistair has also been making sure to share the journey with his followers on LinkedIn.

“Look, running a marathon is probably one of the toughest things you can do,” explained Alistair, who may or may not have a rather sheltered perspective on life.

“So I just want to inspire people on LinkedIn with how I’m battling through and overcoming adversity.”

“To help them crunch their goals too.”

More to come.
