A local dad has caught himself walking a mile in someone else’s shoes today.
Enjoying another day on his yearly holiday with the family, Brett Delaney said that during a relaxing lull in conversation, he found himself making a technical assessment of the local Italian restaurant.
“Yeah, only one exit out the back, and it would be through the kitchen I reckon,” said Brett, a local accountant who might have watched a couple too many action movies.
“So that’s why I made sure we’ve got a good spot a fair way from the front door but near the corner window,” laughed the man carrying on like he’s about that life.
When asked whether his trip to watch Nobody 2 with the boys yesterday might have influenced his new found hitman mentality, Brett laughed.
“Mate, everybody needs a holiday, but nobody should ever completely switch off,” he winked.
“You know Bob fully trained for the stunts as Hutch Mansell?”
“Gives me hope that I can skill up if I ever need to deal with business ya know.”
When our reporter asked what he would do if something teed off in the Sunny Coast family restaurant he was currently in, Brett shrugged.
“Instincts would kick in man. Adrenaline and all that.”
“You know how you just tap into that extra strength when you, or someone you love, is in danger.”
Our bemused reporter nodded and told him to enjoy his carbanora.
More to come.
