In sensational news for mums and other true crime aficionados around the country, juicy new details have dropped in the mushroom lady case.
Weeks after Erin Patterson was found guilty on a number of charges relating to murdering people with mushrooms, fresh evidence has been released on her comings and goings.
This comes after the Supreme Court in Victoria lifted a suppression order, which had prevented journalists from publishing some eyebrow raising allegations.
The lifting of that order has since revealed that The Mushroom Lady really really wanted to fucking poison someone.
While a raft of evidence was mad inadmissible to the jury at the time, it’s since been made public that Patterson was quite intent on giving people some things that fucked them up.
One of those was rat poison, which Patterson reportedly gave her husband prior to the fateful mushroom lunch.
It’s alleged by police that she actually served up a toxic penne pasta, a chicken korma curry and a vegetable wrap to poison her husband, with toxicology reports claiming he showed signs of ingesting rat poison.
It’s also alleged she went to the tip where she disposed of the food dehydrator more than once – on a seperate occasion some 45 minutes after the ill-fated lunch.
It has also been made public that she posted in a Facebook poisons group asking for advice on her sick cat which accidentally at a bad mushroom – despite not owning a cat.
The move to lift the suppression order has now left anyone who thought she was innocent feeling rather embarrassed, with more details likely to come to light in the coming weeks and months.
More to come.
