Australia’s favourite starlet has gone ahead and done it again!
Oscar Piastri has gone zoom zoom zoom and won the Belgian Grand Prix ahead of team mate Lando Norris.
The big win extends his lead at the top of the Drivers Championship to 16 points, with many Aussies now starting to crystallise their dreams of seeing one of our own step foot at the top of the podium again.
Speaking exclusively to The Advocate, Oscar explained to our humble regional paper that he was really happy with his performance.
“Look, I went out there to drive really fast,” said a relieved but exhausted Oscar.
“And I managed to do that, which was really good.”
“I also didn’t crash into anything, which was great.”
“The car just wen’t zoom zoom zoom.”
“And yeah, I guess the rest as the say, is history.”
“Hopefully I can just keep zooming and take home the big prize at the end of the year.”
The win has also seen the sport of F1 emerge in Australia again, after a slight little hiatus following a couple of stuff results.
The sport moves on to Hungary next week.
More to come.
